"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Thanks for watching. Hopefully I can continue to produce work worth paying attention to. I'm actually thinking about starting the whole "weekly drawing" thing up again, since it really did improve a few things.

Maybe I'll take that up too.
If you do decide to take it up, these are the rules I followed for the ones you saw. You might find others if you like, though.
1) Has to be drawn from life. Anything in your surroundings is fair game, but try to look at it in a different perspective than you would ordinarily.
2) No drawing drawings; though there's good practice to be had that way, it really teaches you different skills.
3) One hour dedication minimum. It's very hard to capture the essence of something in 15 minutes...
And last, but not least, 4) it should have a message--some feeling or purpose you're trying to convey through the work.
Those are just the rules I use, though; experiment and see what works best for you.
